Abstract

This summary explores the continuing relevance of Rachel Carson's work, focusing on the first six chapters of her book, which deal with pesticide use and environmentalism. It highlights the urgent need for sustainable alternatives, the consequences of chemical pesticides on human health and ecosystems, and the importance of education and environmentally friendly practises. The inclusion of ecofeminist and queer theoretical perspectives, as well as current sustainability trends, enriches understanding of the topic and empowers readers to make informed choices for a more just and ecologically balanced future.
