Abstract

The strategic role of Polytechnic institutions in preparing graduates who have applied skills is very dependent on the available resources, especially human resources in the form of lecturers who are at the forefront of implementing vocational education. The existence of lecturers in the context of providing vocational education at the Polytechnic is very important, so it is necessary to efficiently and effectively manage the potential of the lecturers. One of the potentials in polytechnic lecturers is their feeling of satisfaction at work. This is very important to note because according to Mu'at and Julina (2012) that the quality of the lecturers will increase if they get job satisfaction. Therefore, job satisfaction of Manado State Polytechnic (PNM) lecturers is imperative in this study. Research on the effect of the director's vocational leadership behavior, organizational climate, and collective trust on the job satisfaction of lecturers at PNM is relevant using a quantitative approach and a survey research method. The results showed that the director's perceived vocational leadership behavior had a direct effect on the collective trust of the lecturers at PNM, the PNM organizational climate perceived by the lecturers had a direct effect on the lecturers' collective trust, the director's perceived vocational leadership behavior did not directly affect the job satisfaction of the lecturers at PNM.
