Comparative Functional Analysis Personal States of the Mentally ILL Diagnosed With Neurosis and Patients Diagnosed with Schizophrenia
Abstract
The article presents a functional-psychodynamic analysis of the personal states of mentally ill patients with diagnoses of "neurosis" and "schizophrenia" in comparison with a group of healthy subjects of youth age from 18 to 23 years. Mental states were assessed using eight scales for calculating the psychodynamic coefficients of a number of color preferences according to the Max Lusher test. In the course of the analysis, the functional-analytical method for evaluating a number of color representations according to the Max Lusher color test and the system-functional psychodynamic method for calculating the psychodynamic coefficients of D. V. Sochivko were used."
Have been investigated both systematically-psychodynamic differences in the mental states of patients with neurosis and schizophrenia in comparison with a group of healthy subjects, as well as differences in individual psychodynamic coefficients that significantly characterize a particular group of subjects suffering from a particular mental illness. There are significant differences in the profiles of mental states for each of the four psychodynamic spectra, the coefficients of the primary colors, as well as for individual psychodynamic coefficients of the primary colors (blue, green, red and yellow). The article also presents the psychodynamic typology of patients with diagnoses of "neurosis" and "schizophrenia" constructed by methods of factorial and cluster statistical analysis of all 8 colors of the Lusher test.
