Practical and Effective Ways of Eliminating Simple Grammar Mistakes in Speech

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the effective ways of eliminating grammatical errors in students’ speech.  it is necessary to identify the grammar mistakes in the speech and eliminate them from happening. For this purpose, the researcher decided to implement some techniques to improve students’ speech by providing students with reading materials mostly stories and biographies of famous people, retelling what students read and written, and oral grammar correction by self and peer corrections. For the research that lasted for 2 months Google form questionnaires, and informal discussions with colleagues and students were implemented as data collection tools. these techniques were successfully implemented in the classes and showed a slight decrease in the number of grammatical errors made before the research process.
