Abstract

The study of national and ethnic identities provides a better understanding of social
dynamics and the complex interactions between groups of people. It also helps to build more inclusive
and equitable societies where respect for difference and acceptance of diversity are core principles. It
is important to take into account the fluidity and complexity of identity in all its aspects when shaping
policies, educational programs and cultural practices.
