Abstract

This article examines the key characteristics and features of the humour genre across English, Russian, and Uzbek literature. Through a comparative analysis of major humourous works from each literary tradition, common themes, techniques, and cultural differences in literary humour are identified and discussed. The use of irony, satire, wit, and other humour devices are analyzed. This cross-cultural study aims to provide insights into both the universal and culturally-specific aspects of humour as a literary genre.
