The Effect of Using Pictures on The Memorization of Foreign Words

Abstract

This article provides information about the importance and functions of learning foreign languages through pictures. In general, we can say that learning words with the help of pictures is a type of mnemonics. Mnemonics is a set of teaching methods and methods that facilitate the process of remembering new information, as well as increase the ability of human memory to retain this information by creating artificial associations. There are many classifications of such methods, which include linguistic, spatial, physical and visual mnemonics.
