Learning to Write Popular Scientific Articles for Class VIII a Students of SMP Negeri I Tondano Using Synergetic Teaching Strategies
Abstract
The aim of this research is (1) To describe the ability of Class VIII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Tondano in compiling steps and developing steps for writing popular scientific articles using the Synergetic Teaching Strategy (teaching in synergy). (2) To describe the application of the Synergetic Teaching Strategy (teaching in synergy) in learning to compile steps and develop steps for writing popular scientific articles for Class VIII A students at SMP Negeri 1 Tondano. The methods used in this research are qualitative and quantitative methods. The techniques used to collect data are observation, tests and interviews. To analyze the data the technique used is presentation. The research results show (1)Students in class VIII a of SMP Negeri 2 Tondano are classified as very capable in writing popular scientific articles because the average class score obtained was 89%. (2)The ability to describe the topic of the essay in accordance with the content of the essay is 85%, the ability to describe the purpose of writing is 97%, the ability to describe facts and opinions is 85%, and the ability to use Indonesian correctly is 81%. (3) The synergitic teaching strategy can maximize student learning outcomes in writing popular scientific articles
