Abstract

The article is devoted to the vaccination of premature/underweight children, which is an extremely relevant issue — these children are most susceptible to infectious diseases, including controlled ones, but their vaccination scares specialists with its possible undesirable reactions from an immature organism to the introduction of an immunotropic substance. The author shows the features of the immune response of premature newborns, in particular the T-cell link, which must be taken into account during vaccination. Particular attention is paid to the safety of vaccines — the risk of developing episodes of apnea with / without bradycardia, their impact on the frequency of obstructive episodes, and the effect on the body of simultaneous administration of several vaccines. In addition, the article discusses the immunogenicity and reactogenicity of various vaccines administered to underweight children.
