Abstract

In the realm of cultural production, cinema stands as a powerful medium for the expression and negotiation of national identity. Within the dynamic tapestry of cinematic discourse, the interplay between language and nationality emerges as a crucial focal point for investigation. While the study of nationality in cinema has traditionally been situated within the domains of film studies and cultural studies, the lens of linguistics offers unique insights into how language functions as both a marker and a shaper of national identity on the cinematic stage.
