Abstract

During the Second World War, the country's economy and industry were adapted to military production. As a result, problems of labor shortages for industrial and construction work arose. In this situation, on the basis of the resolution of the Defense Committee of the Union State of October 14, 1942, No. 2414, 150 thousand workers from Uzbekistan were mobilized to construction and industrial enterprises in various regions of Russia. Including thousands of Uzbeks who worked in factories and enterprises of the Chelyabinsk region and made a worthy contribution to the victory over fascism. This article analyzes the living conditions of Uzbek "labor army members", their maintenance, health and working conditions based on archival sources. It also analyzes the issues of their distribution among enterprises, labor productivity, motivation and provides conclusions about the problems in the conditions.
