Abstract

This paper explores the cognitive linguistics approach to understanding literary texts, emphasizing the importance of conceptual meaning within the linguistic realization of concepts. It discusses the role of various psycholinguistic tools that contribute to the coherence and integrity of literary texts, such as grammatical unity, linguistic connections, and coreference. The analysis of literary texts through cognitive linguistics highlights the interplay between conceptual meaning and verbal expressions. It addresses how cognition influences text interpretation and emphasizes the significance of the author’s idiostyle in shaping the text's conceptual field. Additionally, the study outlines different cognitive types of thinking and their reflection in poetic discourse. Ultimately, it provides a comprehensive understanding of how cognitive processes, ideological, and cultural aspects influence the creation, structure, and reception of literary texts.
