Medical Humanities as a Conceptual Foundation for the Development of Medical Education in Uzbekistan

This article explores the concept of medical humanities as a strategic direction for modernizing the medical education system in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Special attention is given to the axiological foundations of future doctors’ professional training, as well as the role of bioethics and philosophy in shaping the humanistic component of the educational process. The article analyzes the provisions of the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 22, 2025, No. PQ-149, which emphasizes the need to improve the quality of medical personnel training, the development of professional ethics, and communicative competence. The relevance of integrating the humanities into modern educational programs of medical universities is substantiated.
