The article considers the modular technology of teaching a foreign language as an effective didactic system that allows to organize the learning process taking into account the individual needs of students and the diversity of working methods.The centerpiece of this technology is the module, which is an autonomous unit of learning material that promotes the development of communication skills and self-regulation of students. The author lists the advantages of modular learning, including increased student motivation, flexibility in the organization of learning material and emphasis on independent activity. The author also discusses the consolidation of knowledge through creative assignments and the use of electronic platforms, which helps to build confidence in using a foreign language in the professional sphere, especially for design students.The technology of modular teaching increases students' motivation to language learning, stimulates various manifestations of students' independence and initiative, promotes the assimilation of theoretical material.The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of individual approach to each student and predicting the results of the learning process
