Abstract

This article highlights the theoretical and practical foundations of the purposeful use of Uzbek national values and traditions in the process of forming elements of national-speech etiquette among students. Speech etiquette—meaning communication culture, moral norms in interaction, and the cultured use of language tools—is considered an important factor in the comprehensive development of an individual in today's education system. In this regard, the article analyzes pedagogical approaches aimed at developing students' communication skills based on national values such as courtesy, respect, hospitality, reverence for elders, politeness, and honor. During the research, practical sessions, observations, and surveys conducted in higher education institutions revealed that speech etiquette exercises based on national values are effective tools for developing students' language culture and communicative competence. The article also demonstrates the advantages of integrating national traditions into the modern educational process through interactive and contextual methods. Based on the results of the study, the impact of speech etiquette tools in strengthening national identity, developing personal qualities, and achieving moral maturity in students is scientifically substantiated.
