Abstract

Water scarcity is a growing global challenge, particularly acute in arid and semi-arid regions like Uzbekistan. This article explores economical ways of utilizing water resources, synthesizing insights from international scientific literature and the perspectives of Uzbek scientists. The analysis covers various strategies, including agricultural water management, industrial water conservation, domestic water efficiency, and wastewater reuse. The method involves a literature review of both foreign and Uzbek research, followed by a comparative analysis of their findings and identification of context-specific recommendations for Uzbekistan. Results highlight the potential for significant water savings through improved irrigation techniques, industrial recycling, and public awareness campaigns. The discussion emphasizes the need for integrated water management strategies, incorporating technological innovations, policy reforms, and community participation to ensure sustainable water use in Uzbekistan. The conclusion proposes specific recommendations tailored to the Uzbek context, aiming to enhance water security and promote socio-economic development.
