Novel Dimensions in Educational Technology, Digital Media and Multimedia in Education

Abstract

This paper explains in brief these terms: medium, media, digital technology and multimedia and is titled Novel Dimensions in Educational Technology, it explained the term Digital, Digital Media and gave examples. It went onto define and explain the term Multimedia and differentiated Digital Media and Multimedia. This paper also discusses Multimedia in Education, Educational Technology and the use of Digital and Multimedia Technologies in Education, and lastly The Benefits of Digital and Multimedia Technologies in Education. It was recommended that: Instructors of educational technology especially in teacher education should emphasize the differences in these terms, and their meanings to ensure their proper usage and effectiveness.
