Abstract

This article analyzes issues related to established views on witness immunity in criminal procedural law. Most importantly, it emphasizes aspects of witness immunity - the right of a person summoned for questioning to refuse to testify against themselves, their spouse, close relatives and other close associates, as well as the right of a suspect or accused to refuse to testify about circumstances of committing a crime against themselves. This article analyzes both national and foreign legislation, along with the opinions of scholars.
