Theoretical Foundations of The Lexical Unit “Hospitality” In English Linguistics

Abstract

This article explores the theoretical foundations of the lexical unit hospitality in English linguistics. The concept is analyzed from semantic, pragmatic, cognitive, and linguocultural perspectives. The study reveals that hospitality functions not only as a lexical expression of politeness and social etiquette but also as a key cultural concept that reflects human warmth, tolerance, and moral values in English-speaking societies.
