The Role of Restorers in Preserving National Values in the Museums of Uzbekistan
Abstract
This paper examines the vital role of museum restorers in safeguarding Uzbekistan’s national values through the preservation and restoration of tangible cultural heritage. Restorers act as guardians of historical memory, ensuring the longevity and authenticity of artifacts that embody the spiritual and cultural identity of the Uzbek nation. Their work contributes not only to the physical conservation of objects but also to the continuity of national consciousness and cultural sustainability. The research highlights the integration of modern technologies, traditional restoration methods, and ethical principles in the activities of Uzbek museum restorers. The study also reflects on the implementation of UNESCO conventions and Uzbekistan’s national legislation on cultural heritage protection.
