Abstract
The Holy Qur'an and the words of Imam, Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) relate to a natural phenomenon representing individuals' social and intellectual state: intellectual extremism, which the legislator has outlawed. The phenomenon of extremism, which has increased throughout Islamic civilizations and emerged mainly in This, has recently presented a severe threat to society's ability to construct itself and achieve its objectives, which has led us to investigate this phenomenon in detail, identify its causes, and explain its effects by highlighting the fundamental characteristics that lead to this issue—weak religious awareness—arising.
