The Updated Constitution of Uzbekistan and Priority Trends in Modernization of the Legislative System

Abstract
The people of Uzbekistan, in the nationwide referendum on April 30, 2023, adopted the Constitution in a new edition. The evolutionarily updated Basic Law, which has absorbed modern ideas and principles of building a social, legal and humane state, is the basis for further modernization of the legislative system. Being the fundamental result of a radical constitutional reform, the Constitution marks a new stage in its development and improvement.
