Abstract
The research came out with a set of recommendations that constitute a step towards taking reform measures and legislation regulating the environment in an effort to protect and enforce the human right to a safe and sound environment, which we consider a key to the success of the global reform agenda, including the 17 sustainable development goals and their goals and objectives until 2030, considering that the latter is one of the important mechanisms. To protect and promote the human right to sustainable environmental development in the world.
Environmental indicators are essential factors for detecting the decline in human security This has become an issue of international concern that has been raised strongly in recent decades, especially since it is a combination of human rights and the environment. We particularly mention the issues related to environmental degradation and climate change and their effects on the implementation of human rights in the country and the world alike. The research came with the aim of studying the issue of human environmental security in Iraq because the country is facing serious environmental challenges in recent years and has witnessed a decline in the implementation of the right to a safe and sound environment, especially the map of human deprivation of environmental security with multiple indicators: in particular - food, represented by poverty, decline in agricultural areas, and desertification. In addition to the indicators of human deprivation of water-environmental security, which is meant by water deficit and water scarcity and their effects, not to mention the indicators of human deprivation of societal environmental security in terms of ecological migration, instability, and population movement and their effects. Charting Iraq's paths in facing the challenges of environmental security (humanitarian response and possible opportunities) and understanding demographic and non-population variables have become priorities for enforcing human-environmental security.
