Abstract

The present article examines the critical role of legal education in preparing Uzbekistan for its accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). As Uzbekistan advances in its bid to join the WTO, the development of specialized legal expertise among future lawyers becomes increasingly vital. The study provides an in-depth analysis of the current state of legal education in Uzbekistan, highlighting existing gaps and opportunities. Drawing on international experiences from countries such as China, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine, the article illustrates successful practices in training WTO lawyers. It also presents statistical and analytical data demonstrating the impact of legal expertise on the WTO accession process. The article concludes with strategic recommendations for enhancing legal education in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation, practical training, and continuous professional development. These measures are essential for ensuring that Uzbekistan’s legal professionals are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of WTO law and contribute to the country's successful integration into the global trading system.
