The Effect of Hpv on the Cervix
Main Article Content
Abstract
The effect of HPV on the cellular composition of the cervix. Changes in the cervix in cancer and precancerous conditions are often asymptomatic and a routine examination will not always indicate pathology. Screening programs allow you to identify changes in a timely manner, determine the cause and prescribe treatment. Predisposition to cervical cancer is determined by genetic markers, but the contribution to the development of pathology is no more than 1% of all cases. External and internal factors have a great influence. Disorders of the hormonal background and tissue nutrition, the local state of immunity — determine the internal reason for which precancerous changes occur. Early active sexual life, frequent change of sexual partners and frequent childbirth, the use of hormone-containing contraceptives, the presence of STIs in the anamnesis are external risk factors for the development of cervical cancer. In 85% of cases, cervical cancer is associated with HPV.
