Abstract
This article explores the complex regulatory challenges that fintech companies face when operating across international borders. It highlights the main legal hurdles, including divergent regulatory frameworks, data privacy laws, anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements, and restrictions on cross-border payments. Through case studies of companies like Wise, Revolut, and Diem, the article demonstrates how fintech firms adapt to varied legal environments by employing strategic compliance measures, technological innovation, and collaboration with local regulators. The findings underscore the importance of flexible, localized regulatory strategies for sustainable global fintech expansion.
