Abstract
In this article, the category of professional experience in the legal field is examined from a scientific perspective, with particular attention given to its role and significance in the process of acquiring the status of an advocate, analyzed both theoretically and practically. For this purpose, the views advanced by scholars have been thoroughly studied in conjunction with practical materials.
Furthermore, the authors have conducted a comparative legal analysis of professional experience in the legal field as one of the fundamental requirements for obtaining the status of an advocate, based on international practice. In the course of the research, the norms of foreign legislation were studied, and the possibilities of applying them to the improvement of national legislation were identified. On this basis, scientific conclusions have been formulated regarding further directions for the development of the theory of the institution of advocacy.
