Main Article Content
Abstract
The rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into higher education presents both significant opportunities and complex challenges, particularly within the domain of legal education. This article explores the global and national landscape of AI adoption in higher education, focusing on its implementation in Uzbekistan, with a particular emphasis on the Tashkent State University of Law. The study highlights the transformative potential of AI in enhancing administrative efficiency, personalized learning, legal research, and mental health support services. Through the examination of local initiatives—such as AI-powered platforms (e.g., LexAI, Degree.tsul.uz, NewTopic.tsul.uz)—the article demonstrates how digital tools have streamlined legal educational processes and facilitated greater accessibility. However, the article also critically assesses ethical risks, such as threats to academic integrity, erosion of critical thinking, and the limitations of AI-generated legal analysis. The author concludes that while AI can significantly enrich legal education, its responsible and ethical integration is vital to preserving the integrity and quality of legal training.
