Abstract

The prognosis of patients with acute myeloid leukemia receiving intensive chemotherapy is determined by both karyotypic abnormalities and mutations in genes responsible for the survival and self-renewal of leukemic cells. Over the past two decades, active research has been carried out on molecular changes in leukemia and the development of drugs aimed at eliminating molecular defects. The use of identified molecular markers as prognostic factors makes it possible to divide patients into groups requiring therapy of varying intensity. The literature review presents data on the role of genesCEBPA,MLL andDNMT3A,gene mutations FLT3 and NPM1.
