Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is widespread in children and adolescents. The pathology is characterized by constantly high levels of glucose in the blood. The disease is accompanied by weight loss with good appetite, strong thirst and profuse urination.


In the absence of adequate treatment, the disease progresses rapidly due to active growth and increased metabolism in children.


The first type is most common in children. The disease is characterized by very low levels of insulin; the child requires constant monitoring.
