Abstract

The study aimed at assess factors contributing to child neglect in Tanzania. A Case of Kinondoni Municipality. Specifically, the study had the following objectives To explore the major factors contribute child neglect at Kinondoni Municipal., To identify socio economic effects of child neglect at Kinondoni Municipal, To suggest preventive measures against child neglect in Kinondoni Municipal. Also the research had three research question which reflected the objective such as 2 Research questions, What are the major factors contributing to child neglect in Kinondoni Municipal?, What are socio-economic effects of child neglect in Kinondoni Municipal?, and What are the preventive measures against child neglect in Kinondoni Municipal.


Chapter two is about literature review where by the reviews reflected the research objective and theoretical frame work, after the review the researcher come out with the research gap.


Chapter three it’s about research methodology where by it has been provided with which approach the study have used, ways of data collection, means of data analysis, sample, as well as sample size to be presented on the study and research logistic and ethical considering


Chapter four is about data analysis, discussion and presentation, where by the researcher enabled the discussion and analysis of data was presented based on the research question after the collection of data, hence data have been presented to fill research gap.


Chapter five it is about recommended the government, private sectors, parents and guardian as well as drawing the conclusion with reflect to the study findings. Furthermore, there are some recommendations for further studies.
