Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women occurs when there is a lower than normal amount of red blood cells or hemoglobin in the blood. This can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, dizziness, pale skin, and shortness of breath. Anemia during pregnancy can be caused by a variety of factors, including a lack of iron or other essential nutrients, blood loss, or a pre-existing medical condition. It is important for pregnant women to receive proper prenatal care and monitoring to prevent and treat anemia, as it can have serious consequences for both the mother and the developing baby.
