Development Characteristics and Treatment Methods of High Arterial Pressure in Women

Abstract
This article discusses the peculiarities of pharmacotherapy for arterial hypertension (AH) in women, considering their gender-specific features. The efficacy and safety of antihypertensive medications such as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs), angiotensin II receptor antagonists (ARBs), and others are discussed based on research findings. The importance of an individualized approach to AH treatment in women, especially in the postmenopausal period, is highlighted. Potential factors influencing the efficacy and safety of medications, as well as unresolved issues in the field of gender pharmacology and pharmacotherapy of cardiovascular diseases in women, are also discussed.
