Abstract

Clefts of the upper lip and palate occupy the second place in the structure of congenital anomalies in frequency and are classified as severe malformations of the face and jaws, leading to significant anatomical and functional disorders. Their elimination takes a long period of time and comes down to several operations throughout life and long-term rehabilitation with a number of specialists.
