Experience in the Use of a Universal Rod Apparatus of External Fixation in the Treatment of Odontal Injuries in Polytrauma Victims

Abstract

The article analyses the treatment of 86 patients with combined and polytraumas. We applied the principle of ‘damage control’ in the treatment of patients with polytrauma. A universal rod apparatus was developed for stabilisation of long bones injuries of limbs in patients with polytrauma. The use of atraumatic methods of stabilisation of ODA injuries on the basis of the proposed rod apparatus of external fixation allowed to reduce the development of complications, lethal outcomes and to obtain positive results of treatment.
