Abstract

Chronic periodontitis is an inflammatory process that affects all periodontal structures
and leads to the destruction of its tissues and alveoli. Often, the pathology is accompanied by shifting
and mobility of teeth, bleeding gums and the formation of dental plaque. Periodontitis of various severity
occurs in more than 90% of the population. The disease is often diagnosed in patients aged 16-20 and
30-45. Many different bacteria always live in the human mouth, which enter it with water and food.
Microbial waste accumulates on the tooth surface and forms plaque. Over time, plaque can harden,
leading to gum irritation, gingivitis, and small spaces between the gums and teeth that are then filled
with food debris and bacteria. will be done. This pathological process is the main cause of periodontitis.
