Abstract

As is well known, maternal, placental, and fetal factors are involved in the development of preterm births. To date, the role of the fetus in initiating labor, including preterm labor, is beyond doubt. In this regard, the study of the diagnostic significance of determining markers of fetal origin in predicting preterm births, such as fetal fibronectin, is of interest. The data obtained indicate that an increase in FFN during the gestational period of 30-34 weeks of pregnancy appears to be associated with the rupture of the amniotic membrane.
