Abstract
Effective planning of nursing care for patients with diseases of the nervous system is crucial. This process requires a thorough assessment of each patient's condition to ensure proper support and treatment. Nurses should be prepared to work with patients with various neurological disorders, taking into account their unique needs and characteristics. An important aspect is the creation of an individualized care plan that includes both medical interventions and psychosocial support.
Using the evaluation tables of the Bartel index, evaluation sheets on the Waterlow scale (risk of bedsores), the issues of the nursing process in patients in the post-stroke period are considered on the example of the neurological department. To improve the quality of nursing care for stroke patients, it is necessary: staffing of nurses and junior medical staff, training of nurses in methods of coordinating the actions of relatives in caring for loved ones, conducting special training of nurses in the psychology of communication.
