Abstract
According to statistics, the most common reason for visiting a pediatric dentist is caries, which occurs with considerable regularity in a child. The problem worries not only parents, but also young patients - toothache worsens the quality of life and even changes eating habits.
Caries in children is actually more common than in adults. This is due to the structural properties of enamel and dentin - they are thinner and contain more organic substances than minerals. Improper hygiene and eating habits also play an important role in the risk of developing caries. The good news is that it is possible to reverse the process of demineralization, in which enamel begins to break down due to the loss of minerals. How to do this and what is the prevention of caries in children, we will consider today's material.
