Main Article Content
Abstract
The article examines the stages of rehabilitation of disabled people with malignant tumors of 159 children and shows that they are carried out in stages. Rehabilitation consisted of medical, psychological, pedagogical, and social types and was conducted among disabled children with 26 eye-risk tumors, 25 cranial tumors,36 soft tissue malignant tumors, 38 bone-risk tumors, and 34 nephroblastoma diseases. The age of patients ranged from 3 months to 17 years. Treatment of patients was carried out on the basis of standards. The rehabilitation stages consisted of those under full rehabilitation, partial rehabilitation, disability stabilization, and disability progression. In our study, 38.9% of patients had complete rehabilitation, 38.9% had partial rehabilitation, 16.3% had disability stabilization, and 6.9% had disability progression. Low rates of rehabilitation have been observed among children with malignant tumors of the brain and bone, and it has been found to depend heavily on the localization of the tumor process, the stage of spread, the type of treatment and its efficacy, and the progression of the disease.
