Abstract

The desire to improve the quality of life of patients with osteoarthritis sometimes justifies lifelong prescription of non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). However, NSAIDs have a number of undesirable reactions, among which, in the last decade, complications from the cardiovascular system (CVS) have been given the greatest importance. Monitoring of the side effects of NSAIDs used in everyday practice is an urgent problem in modern medicine. This problem is especially relevant in rheumatic diseases, in which the systemic inflammatory process is associated with an increased risk of vascular accidents.
