Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examines the prevalence of brucellosis among the rural population of Uzbekistan during the 1940s and 1950s, highlighting its causes and contributing factors. The research is based on historical data, medical reports, and epidemiological records from the Soviet era. The findings reveal that inadequate veterinary control, poor sanitary conditions, and close contact between humans and infected livestock significantly contributed to the spread of the disease. The study also discusses the preventive measures implemented by the Soviet government and their effectiveness in controlling brucellosis.
