Abstract

This scientific article evaluates the effectiveness of a new herbal preparation “Hemostat Gel” in the treatment of patients with severe chronic disseminated periodontitis. During the study, the effect of this gel was compared with rose essential oil and chlorhexidine. Clinical and microbiological parameters - microbial count, neurophilic infiltration, periodontal pocket depth and gingival bleeding were monitored. The results of the study showed that the Hemostat Gel preparation has a high level of antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity, as well as improves the regeneration process of periodontal tissues. These results confirm that herbal preparations open up wide opportunities for use in modern dentistry.
