Assessment of Disorders of the Hemostasis System in Patients with Covid-19

Abstract
Coronavirus infection (COVID-19), an acute infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, is characterized by activation of the hemostasis system, which in the most severe cases can lead to the development of consumption coagulopathy. At present, it remains unclear whether COVID-19 is the direct cause of these disorders or whether they occur as the infectious process progresses.
