Impact of Various Factors on Psycho-Emotional States in the Mother during Lactation
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the early postpartum period, mother and infant experience a critical neuroendocrine transition from pregnancy to lactation. The two main clinical problems that arise during this transition are lactation insufficiency and perinatal mood disorders. These disorders often overlap in clinical settings. Unsuccessful lactation is common. A review of several literatures covered in the article makes it possible to identify various depressive states during lactation.
