Specific Aspects of Viral Hepatitis C in Patients Infected with Covid-19
Main Article Content
Abstract
We present a clinical case of the development of drug-induced hepatitis in a patient with COVID-19 while taking tocilizumab, a drug that inhibits the interleukin-6 receptor. Long-term hyperfermentemia after discontinuation of therapy seems to be due to the delayed half-life of tocilizumab, which affects the redox system of liver cytochromes.
