Abstract

Breast cancer is recognized as the most common oncological problem among women. The psychological conditions that arise after diagnosis—such as anxiety, depression, altered body-image perception, and social isolation—necessitate the activation of adaptation mechanisms. This article provides a comprehensive overview of how psychological adaptation is shaped by individual and cultural factors. Coping strategies, family support, religious values, and stigma are analyzed and discussed in relation to international scientific sources and the socio-cultural environment of Uzbekistan. Comprehensive, culturally sensitive recommendations are offered for psycho-oncological practice.
