Covid-19 and Thyroid (Literature Review)

Abstract
SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) infection is currently a huge global health problem. COVID-19 causes significant damage to a wide range of vital organs, primarily the respiratory system. Recently, there has been accumulated clinical data on thyroid lesions during and after COVID-19. In this review, we briefly look back at the reported evidence for changes in thyroid function and thyroid disease associated with SARS-CoV, examining in detail the problem of COVID-19 and the pathogenetic link between thyroid disease.
