Abstract

This paper discussed the roles of stakeholder in the development of education in Nigeria. The paper is a review paper that depend secondary data. The secondary data were collected from print and online publications. The paper concluded that the roles of stakeholders of education in aiding the development of education in Nigeria includes; provision of instructional resources, effective supervision and ensuring accountability in resources allocation.  Based on this findings, the paper recommends that the government should actively engage the stakeholders in the development programme of education in Nigeria. Government should support the activities of education stakeholder to improve the quality of education.
