Abstract

This article explores linguo-pedagogical strategies for vocabulary development in early learners, focusing on cognitive, socio-cultural, and linguistic frameworks. It examines vocabulary acquisition through interactive storytelling, play-based learning, phonemic and morphological awareness, and semantic mapping. Emphasis is placed on the critical 3–5 age period and the impact of early childhood education environments. The article highlights the importance of early exposure, parental involvement, and multi-modal instruction. It advocates for integrated, age-appropriate, and developmentally sensitive approaches to enhance vocabulary learning in diverse educational settings, particularly for English Language Learners and children from low-literacy environments.
